Usage Instruction (Binocular Convergence Function Test):
- Correction: Ensure the subject's refractive error is fully corrected.
- Initial Focus: Place the BI 3Δ prism in front of the subject's eyes and have them focus on a 40cm single-row visual target. Combine the visual indicators into one column.
- Switching Test: Switch to the BO 12Δ prism and place it in front of the eyes to start timing. Have the subject focus on the 40cm target with both eyes and try to fuse the image. After fusion occurs, switch back to the BI 3Δ prism until fusion occurs again (this constitutes one switching cycle).
- Recording: Record how many switching cycles the tested eye completes within one minute.
Ideal For:
Optometrists, orthoptists, vision therapists, and individuals undergoing home therapy for Strabismus (crossed eyes), Amblyopia (lazy eye), Convergence Insufficiency, and general binocular vision dysfunction.
